TAYA NOVA: Greetings! I’m Tatiana, and today we bring you a special issue of "MosFocus" — a lively podcast featuring outstanding professionals whose creative journeys inspire, and personal stories motivate us to reach our peaks. In our studio are Alexander Nazarov, Natalia Safina, and Irina Leontyeva. Welcome, colleagues and friends! Let's dive in — Alexander, share your journey into entrepreneurship with us. What prompted you to choose this path?
Alexander Nazarov’s Journey: From Finance to Entrepreneurship
ALEXANDER NAZAROV: I’ve been in entrepreneurship for nine years, previously climbing the corporate ladder in finance as a financial director. After experiencing severe burnout, I knew it was time for a change. I took six months off to rediscover myself, and an unexpected opportunity arose when a friend asked me to help with his office renovation. With my financial skills, I optimized the budget and achieved a 30% cost reduction. The client was thrilled and encouraged me to take on more projects. Despite my lack of experience in construction, I believed in myself and launched my first project under the brand MiraPRO.
From the start, I established key principles: responsibility, in-depth engagement, process optimization, and, most importantly, listening to the client. It's not just about realizing ideas; it’s about adapting to the client's needs. Our first office won the Best Office Awards, marking my business's thrilling beginning.
Quality Standards and Business Philosophy
Becoming an entrepreneur, I realized that my financial experience was a powerful tool for assessing contractors' reliability. My skills in banking analysis transitioned to the construction market, helping me create a unique standard for selecting contractors. Last year, it earned the "Leader in Construction Quality" award from the St. Petersburg government. I'm now preparing to launch this standard for a broader professional audience, aimed at becoming the "Michelin Stars" of premium construction and renovation.
International Experience and the Creative Spirit of Irina Leontyeva
TAYA NOVA: Irina, you work on projects not just in Russia but also in Abu Dhabi, Kazakhstan, and Turkey. We take pride in showcasing Russian design internationally! What's been your standout project?
IRINA LEONTYEVA: Every project is special, especially those with Novikov Group. Each is a unique blend of beauty, style, and atmosphere, deserving of recognition from everyone who visits.
Artistic Philosophy: The Balance of Masculine and Feminine Energies
TAYA NOVA: I know you’re an artist who brought your paintings today, reflecting the themes of masculine and feminine energies. How does your art come to life — day or night?
IRINA LEONTYEVA: I've been an artist since childhood. To me, masculine and feminine energies are fundamental. Their harmony transcends chaos and war. My works explore elements of fire and water, showcasing their beauty together. One painting, "Energy of the Sun and Harmony," symbolizes balance and vitality.
These pieces are making their debut, expressing my belief that art is a means to foster harmony around us.
The Role of Color and Brand Philosophy of Natalia Safina
TAYA NOVA: Natalia, you specialize in textile design and consult on federal TV projects. What color trends are trending in 2026?
NATALIA SAFINA: Fuchsia is definitely in vogue! Last year was all about muted pink; now it's fuchsia, blue, and terracotta taking center stage. But the essence lies in individual expression and good vibes. True style makes a person feel confident.
My brand, "Danatella," focuses on textile interior design, creating tactile delight, emotional impact, and depth in spaces. Each collection tells a story, making every project unique and meticulously crafted, akin to high fashion.
Modern Market Challenges: Optimization, AI, and New Opportunities
TAYA NOVA: Alexander, how has the premium real estate and design market evolved in 2026?
ALEXANDER NAZAROV: The market is facing tough times — a crisis is evident even in Moscow, yet such periods open new avenues. Key trends involve process optimization, standardization, and AI integration. Many colleagues believe that in 2-3 years, we’ll use AI to transform design processes rapidly.
In luxury segments, personal touch remains crucial, but in business premium, clients demand efficiency, speed, and simplicity. My goal is to create a more client-friendly construction environment while maintaining a human touch and high quality.
AI: Assistant or Competitor?
TAYA NOVA: Irina, what are your thoughts on AI in interior design?
IRINA LEONTYEVA: AI is a fantastic assistant for artists and designers, but it can never replace the human soul. Creativity stems from the artist's inner world, an emotional depth unattainable by algorithms. Clients in premium segments seek individuality and warmth crafted by real people.
NATALIA SAFINA: AI drives progress, but without human creativity, it can't generate uniqueness. We must remember the importance of personal interactions, delegating responsibilities, and training staff. AI is a tool, not a substitute for creative energy and teamwork.
ALEXANDER NAZAROV: AI is the result of thousands of industry experts' efforts. Embrace it for routine tasks, but don’t fear it.
The Psychology of Profession: Emotions and Trust
TAYA NOVA: What challenges often arise in your profession — client relationships or project implementation?
ALEXANDER NAZAROV: The main issue is a lack of clarity in timelines, budgets, and quality expectations, leading to conflicts. Clear agreements are crucial.
Emotions often stem from misunderstanding.
IRINA LEONTYEVA: Authorial oversight is vital — guiding projects through all phases.
Trust within the team is key to success.
NATALIA SAFINA: It's important to be prudent but not overly suspicious.
Trust builds gradually.
Practical Advice
ALEXANDER NAZAROV: To engage clients, understand their needs deeply.

TAYA NOVA: How do you unwind?
ALEXANDER NAZAROV: Nature recharges my energy.
NATALIA SAFINA: I value my sleep time.
IRINA LEONTYEVA: Art brings me harmony.
